White Peacock Kitchen and Bar, a multi-cuisine restaurant, has been launched in Khar West, Mumbai. Co-founded by Sagar Kadam and Aniket Mayekar, the newly opened restaurant serves North Indian, Tandoori, Malvani and Goan fare.
The restaurant’s signature dishes are Lasooni Prawns, Rogan Josh, Nalli Nihari, Mutton Chop, Prawns Goan Curry, Veg Vindaloo and Kolambi Bhaat. It further provides premium drinks and cocktails, including the tangy vodka-based cocktail Kala Khatta and Masala Chaska, the rum-based cocktail Tadka Nimbu Pani and the gin-based Lemon Grass Cooler, at pocket-friendly prices.
Kadam and Mayekar said, “From the very beginning, we had a clear vision about the concept, which was, offering authentic cuisines from different regions of India served the way it should be - in a modern setting.”
“We wanted to open a restaurant of this kind, since there are too many options for Asian, Pan-Asian, Thai, Continental and fusion Indian cuisines, but few options for authentic Indian food without any fusion or fuss. With delicacies curated from different parts of India, be it Goan, Malvani, North Indian or Tandoori, our restaurant is an Indian kitchen in the true sense,” they added.
