Third Eye Distillery has launched French Artisanal Rum brand ‘Plantation’ that will now be widely available across India.

Plantation will introduce India to the varieties of Rums from the French discipline and tropical passion of ancient craftsmanship.

The two entrants of Plantation Rum i.e., 3 Stars & Original Dark are available in Mumbai and Goa and will be launched across Maharashtra, Delhi & Bangalore with Third Eye Distillery (TED) (Parent company of Stranger & Sons) as the official partner for the brand in India.

“I am really excited to see so many lovers of great things joining our Plantation rum family around the world every day. Today, I wish to welcome our friends from India who are part of the fascinating rum world that we all love so much. I am looking forward to meeting you all whether in India in Barbados or in France,” shared Alexandre Gabriel, Founder and Master Distiller, Plantation.

The two varieties under the ‘Bar Classic Range’ are double aged via Two climates and varieties of oak double matured in the great terroirs of tropical Barbados, Jamaica, and Trinidad. The rums have been recipients of various awards like World Spirits Competition and Spiritz Business respectively.

“While rum has shown consistent growth & curiosity amongst consumers in India, we are confident that India is ready for high-quality rums and developing its own distinct rum drinking culture. We believe that Plantation, with its provenance-driven portfolio, is the right brand that could steer the rum conversation in the right direction here,” added Rahul Mehra, Co-Founder, Third Eye Distillery.

While TED continues to grow its own portfolio of homegrown products, it believes that there  are certain international brands  that Indian  consumers must have access to and will work towards bringing them to India. Plantation and TED will also launch Pineapple Stiggins, Xaymaca, 20th Anniversary, Barbados 5 years aged & Isle of Fiji variants later in the year across various markets.
