Chinese & Thai restaurant Golden Monk launches in Mumbai

Golden Monk, a Chinese & Thai restaurant, has been launched in Mumbai at Andheri's Lokhandwala. It is serving Chinese and Thai dishes and sizzlers.

The 36-seater restaurant is the brainchild of Amit B Dembda, who has about a decade's experience in the hospitality industry. It has been designed by Jahnvi Mehta. The restaurant’s menu is headed by veteran chef Nar Kumar Tamang, who has more than 18 years of experience.

Dembda said, “We want to be known for serving clean, hygienic, authentic and delicious Chinese comfort food, some popular Thai dishes as well as a few sizzler options. You can also opt for our extensive selection in vegetarian, Aubergine in Basil and Chilli, Veg Gold Coin, Chinese Chopsuey and Thai Curry.”

“Our non-vegetarian guests will be spoilt for choice with our sea-food options, Tilapia in Shanghai Sauce, Prawns in a Sweet and Sour Sauce, Rawas Fillet, and, of course, the chicken such as Chicken Sesame Toast, Golden Monk Chicken and Barbecue Chicken Wings Sizzler and lamb dishes like Roast Lamb in a Hot Garlic Sauce and Lamb Spicy Fried Spicy,” he stated.

He further added, “The philosophy behind the restaurant is explained in its logo. The bowl in the monk’s hand is floating – that is the magic of food. It elevates your mood. We would like our customers to feel happy and content after having a meal at Golden Monk.”
