McDonald's operator in India sees net loss of Rs 6.53 crore for March quarter

Westlife Development which operates McDonald’s in South and West India has reported a consolidated net loss of Rs 6.53 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2016.

One of the fastest growing company in the quick service segment, it markets its brands through its subsidiary Hardcastle Restaurants which had reported a loss of Rs 9.78 crore in the same quarter a year-ago, Westlife Development said in a statement.

Company's total revenues on consolidated basis during the quarter under review was Rs 212.62 crore as against Rs 180.78 crore in same period of the last fiscal.

For the fiscal year ended March, net profit stood at Rs 2.83 crore. The company had reported a net loss of Rs 29.11 crore for the same period a year earlier.

Total revenues stood at Rs 856.83 crore for the recently-concluded fiscal as against Rs 764.33 crore in 2014-15.
