IHOP to open 20 restaurants in five years

Multiband Dine Equity Inc which runs IHOP and Applebee’s restaurant has signed a franchisee deal with food services firm Kwal’s Group, to bring in breakfast chain IHOP in the country.

The group will be opening its first restaurant in CyberHub Gurgaon by early March, expanding to other parts of the Delhi-NCR market.

“We are opening first restaurant in Gurgaon expanding to IGI airport expanding to other parts of the Delhi-NCR market,” shares Sameer Lamba, Managing Director of Kwal’s Group.

IHOP is planning to open around 20 restaurants in next five years seeing the great potential that the market holds.

Earlier in 2015, a source aware of the development also confirmed Restaurant India that another restaurant brand of the group, Applebee’s one of the largest casual dining chains in the world is looking for franchise partner to enter into the Indian market.
