What was the whole idea behind starting Brewberrys Cafe?

We (Ankur and Ronak) were friends since college; after completing our Hotel Management and working in the industry for a couple of years, we decided to start on our own. Hence the first Brewberrys Café was opened in Vadodara in 2008. The idea of a Café chain is quite basic and traditional however what separates us from our competitors is the freshly prepared snacks menu, added board games and books for our patrons to spend quality time at the Café. The idea is to have a friendly neighbourhood or ‘Betterhood’ Café as we like to call it.

How many outlets are there in your brand and what is the plan going forward?

We have 50 cafes and with increase in franchisee activity and expansion plans in place; we intend to reach 250 stores by end of 2018.

How do you see franchise as a growth accelerator?

It is a key which gives the access to local area where partnering with franchisee will give an advantage for brand and franchisee both to expand. It is the present network of franchisee we can have a national presence and state wise strong store hold.

What are the selection criteria for the franchise partner?

The selection is quite simple. Every brewberrys patrons has a passion to be an entrepreneur who can partner with brand and connect with our expertise; help us to bind with locals or resident.

How do you decide on location?

We look for the basic pre-requisites with regards to the location and subsequently the demographics around the location, the catchment area, visibility for the café, accessibility to the Café among others. Above all we look for partners who are passionate about Coffee and running a Café.

Tell us something about your lift and shift model.

The design is aesthetically pleasing and functionally great! The size of the container is customizable to fit to the need. It doesn’t not require permanent fixtures. The best part if you think the café can work better in another location, just Close it and LIFT it and SHIFT it. Space requirement ranges from 80-140 sq ft, for the Basic Container Café

How do you decide on menu?

We decorated the standard menu keeping in mind the local trends. So our every café menu has a local touch along with our uniform products

Tell us about your partnership with TCS

Brewberrys is an exclusive F&B partner in the TCS operated Passport Seva Kendras across India. The Passport Seva Program is a strategic Mission-Mode-Project (MMP) under the National eGovernance Plan (NeGP) of the Government of India. It is being executed through a Public Private-Partnership (PPP) between MEA and TCS. Brewberrys has partnered with TCS for a period of 6 years for exclusive cafes inside the Passport Seva Kendra.

How is your cafe different from the others in the same segment?

We are a better hood café brand that aspires to provide best café experience and become a part of the daily lives of our patrons. We offer freshly prepared snacks, books, board games and Wifi along with Great Coffee for our guests. Exclusive training and Recruitment support. A network of 6 years operating 40+ franchisee across the nation. A dedicated strategic marketing support through tie ups like Paytm, Uber, Foodpanda, Nearby, Mydala etc
