Quirky cocktails and cuisine spins together the best of European, Thai and Indian food, adding a ‘twist’ to classic fare. The bar counter is solid wood and has hand printed cement tiles on the fascia, the counter is embellished with retro filament bulbs, that make it all a very classy bar. With expert bartenders manning their twenty feet long bar counters, craft cocktails, an extensively notable wine list and an array of international beer, spirits and liquors are all yours for the taking.

TOAST mainly targets working professionals and executives, what with the innumerable MNCs and conglomerates in Andheri (E).

The design elements has a predominant industrial chic accent that has been offset with lots of ‘home’ elements, starting from entry library cum display unit to studio light rendering the cement floor and creates the drama to start the night and set the mood and the 20 feet long bar counter clad with retro handmade eclectic designer tiles.

Other elements are bar back is an assimilation of bottle clutter that ends with a large black board with TOAST laser cut letters behind the bar that announces the evening’s specials.  Interactive elements such as hand painted graffiti on open brick walls, pictorial Bollywood movies dialogues hung on frames, to vintage metal advertising posters of classic brands nailed on bare cement walls and structural elements make for a interesting look around which get a few smiles and some raised eyebrows.

Home-inspired accents like glass jar pendant lights, glass jars and candleholders break the typical Bistro mood and add a touch of fine dining to the space. The furniture is simple and classy however is noticeable due to the eclectic prints used for the upholstery.

The flooring is all cement cast in situ joint free surface, however its broken with stunning colourful Retro handmade cement tiles that run thru most of the Bistros length and surprisingly climb onto the bar fascia.

The outdoor Al fresco space pulls out elements from the inside to allow for continuity and carries over the similar feel but has massive awnings to protect from rain and sun and very interesting Vintage but refurbished furniture for seating. The Al fresco area is all simple palettes which are superb as the views on offer are incomparable, so just bush hammered granite slabs on the floor and parapet walls which end with a glass windscreen to keep away the unwanted rain.

The tiling is done in a very neutral and easy on the eye kind of way just to act as a surface that expresses the drama and class of Toast.

The budget for the design only is Rs.3 lacs.
