Citibank debuts into food fest, partners with Cellar Door Hospitality

Cellar Door Hospitality together with Citibank has announced a 10-day multi-city culinary event platform between October 23 and November 1.

The event will feature curate-dining experiences at a fraction of a la carte rates at 30 of India’s finest informal dining restaurants across Delhi and Mumbai.

“This event provides Citi customers with an exclusive opportunity to explore new dining experiences. This is a significant part of Citi’s unique dining value proposition for our customers, enabling them to benefit from a range of tailor-made offerings through the year” shared Arjun Chowdhry, Head of Cards and Unsecured Lending, Citibank India.

Drawing inspiration from India’s largest fine dining event, Restaurant Week India, DineFest focuses on the finest informal dining experiences showcasing three-course prix fixe menus (with vegetarian and non-vegetarian options).

Both lunch and dinner will be offered at INR 600 plus taxes in Delhi and Mumbai.

Citibank credit cardholders will have the privilege of making advance reservations from 16th October whilst general reservations start from 18th October, both exclusively through the DineFest website (www.dinefest.in).

“Citibank presents Dine Fest, as an extension of its earlier successes via Chef’s Table Week and the Restaurant Week India. Offered at 30 of India’s finest informal dining restaurants in Delhi NCR and Mumbai,” added Chowdhry.

The real-time reservation system will list 15 of the finest informal dining restaurants in Delhi and Mumbai each that offer a similar quality of experience through three-course prix fixe menus at the exact same price with care taken to represent a variety of cuisines over diverse locations within each city.

“India is emerging stand-alone restaurant industry has inspired the conception of DineFest presented by Citibank, a nationally scalable culinary event that aims to make gourmet dining experiences accessible to a wider audience. The October debut will allow discerning diners the chance to discover as well as experience dining at restaurants they may not be familiar with,” said Nachiket Shetye, co-founder of Cellar Door Hospitality.

Created and executed with much passion by Chefs Nachiket Shetye and Mangal Dalal, founders of Mumbai-based Cellar Door Hospitality, Cellar Door’s portfolio of culinary events includes Citibank Restaurant Week India, Food With Benefits, Cellar Door Kitchen and Citi Chef's Table Week. Citi DineFest will run twice a year henceforth, typically during April and October.

Some of the participating restaurants in the fest include Benihana, Cafe Lota, Depot 29, Desi Roots, Diva Spiced, Kylin Premier, Lavaash by Saby amongst other in Delhi. While restaurants like 212 All Day, Burma Burma, Byblos, Café Nemo, Café Zoe are participating in Mumbai.
